VP-28 Shipmates selected Savannah, GA as our destination city for the 2018 Reunion during our 2017 Squadron meeting in Nashville, TN.  It is said that the city of Savannah inspires visitors with its emerald tree canopies, quaint cobblestone streets and majestic architecture. Wander off the beaten path and experience the history, beauty and charm of this beloved coastal city.  Savannah brims with a variety of events to excite and entertain. The Clarion Suites Hotel - Savannah, GA is our reunion hotel location for 2018.  A block of 25 rooms has been reserved for VP-28 Shipmates and their guests. Hotel accommodations are separate from the Reunion Registration and you must book your room directly with the Clarion.  Book your hotel room early (912-925-2700) and request the Group Rate for the Patrol Squadron 28 Navy Reunion.

Reunion Agenda

Tuesday, October 23 - Arrival/Check-in Day
Arrive on Tuesday for Hotel and Squadron check-in.  No formal activities are planned for Tuesday.  Relax in the Hospitality Suite and learn about your options for dinner in the Savannah area.

Wednesday, October 24 - Out and about Day

Wednesday is reserved for exploration and recreation.  Sit back and relax as the Old Town Trolley will pick us up at the Clarion Hotel at 9:30am and shuttle us to Downtown Savannah.  This narrated trolley tour stops at points of interest with easy hop on/hop off privileges.  Choose your luncheon destination or select other points of interest you would like to visit.  The Trolley will make a return trip to the Clarion Hotel at  4:00pm.


Thursday, October 25 - Eighth Air Force Museum Tour Day
Thursday we will travel to the 8th Air Force Museum for a guided tour of the facility and chicken dinner on the premeses.  Departure from the Clarion will be 2:30/3:00pm, with dinner at 5:00.  To learn more about the Mighty 8th Air Force CLICK HERE.


Friday, October 26 - Squadron Meeting and Banquet Day

Squadron Meeting:
3:00pm in the Hospitality Room

Squadron Banquet:
5:00pm - 6:00pm  Gather for Drinks in the Hospitality Room

6:00 Buffet Dinner Begins

Red and White Dinner Wines available at each table.
 


Saturday, October 27 - Departure Day

Check-out before 11:00am.
